Founded by Alexandra Davern Korry, The Norwalk Art Space, which opened in June, features art exhibits as well as events and programs. “Sadly, Alexandra passed away before the completion of the Norwalk Art Space, but she continues to inspire our team every day.” says Duvian Montoya, Artistic and Educational Director. “We have a new group of students enrolled in free art classes for the fall semester and the space has become an active and inclusive gathering place for the entire community, just as Alexandra envisioned.”

Along with the art, is the Art Space Cafe, run by chef and restaurateur Bill Taibe. “Dishes will be ever-changing with the seasons, using locally-sourced products wherever possible, says Cafe General Manager Kelly Clement. And on tap for next year: “In early 2022, we will have new exhibitions, artist talks and workshops with Korry Fellows,” says Montoya. “Tara Blackwell, a Pop Artist whose work deals with women’s empowerment, as well as Lizzy Rockwell, a published writer and illustrator of over 40 children’s books will be our initial exhibitors of the new year.” Plus, there will be live music directed by Musical Director David DeJesus, winter classes, and more. thenorwalkartspace.org
