Mississippi River Margarita

Crawdaddy’s Creole Kitchen‘s co-owner and mixologist, Veronica Kallas, shared the recipe for their Mississippi River Margaritawith us – giving us a taste of New Orleans at home.

Ingredients:

  • 1 1⁄2 oz. Mezcal
  • 1⁄2 oz. Triple Sec 
  • 1 1⁄2 oz. Lime
  • 3/4 oz. Simple syrup 
  • 2 Basil leaves 
  • Blueberries and blackberries

Method 

  1. Muddle basil and berries in shaker tin
  2. Add mezcal, triple sec, and lime
  3. Shake
  4. Fine strain over ice in a rocks glass
  5. Garnish with a lime wheel and blueberries
