The annual Champions for Children gala event, held at the Shorehaven Golf Club on June 9, surpassed expectations in the amount of funding and support generated for the Child and Family Guidance Center. The evening raised nearly $95,000 for the nonprofit, which will go in part toward CF Guidance’s new collaboration with the Bridgeport Police Department to create direct hotline between police and the organization. CF Guidance provides family support, mental health and community services in Fairfield County. The gala included a cocktail reception and silent auction.
