Man & Woman of the Year candidates across the country dedicate themselves for 10 weeks to raise funds with the goal of finding a cure for blood cancers and ensuring that patients have access to lifesaving treatments.
The candidatesโ goals are to raise funds that will go directly to LLS inย support of its longstanding goal: a world without blood cancers. Every dollar raised counts as one vote. On June 23, 2018, the LLSโs Man & Woman of the Year Grand Finale will be held at the Hilton in Rye, NY. At the Grand Finale, the man and woman with the most votes will be awarded the title of 2018 Man & Woman of the Year. The true winners, however, are the blood cancer patients and their families.
The funds raised through LLS’s Man & Woman of the Year are used for in a variety of ways.
Money is put toward research to advance targeted therapies and immunotherapies that are saving thousands of lives. Funds are also used to ensure patients have access to blood-cancer treatments as well as education and support on the disease.
