OPUS for Person-to-Person’s annual summer soiree, held in person for the first time since 2019, welcomed over 250 guests to the Country Club of Darien on May 7th.  The sold out Kentucky Derby themed event entitled “OPUS Runs for the Roses” was a huge success. Guest enjoyed mint juleps while they perused the silent auction items and bet on the horses.  Women were decked out in their derby hats and fascinators while men sported colorful bow ties. A live viewing of the race preceded the delicious sit down dinner where remarks were given by our OPUS Co-Presidents as well as Nancy Coughlin, CEO of Person to Person.

A live auction was held during the meal and guests finished the night dancing to music provided by the Short Bus band.  It was an amazing fun filled evening! A special thanks to our fabulous event co-chairs, Nora Zak and Heather deBie as well as our generous sponsors, Nellie Snell, Monograms off Madison and Serendipity. All proceeds from the event benefited our baby basics program.
