Filling in the Blanks, which is dedicated to changing childhood hunger “one meal at a time,” held its first annual Plates with a Purpose fundraiser dinner. Hosted by founders Tina Kramer and Shawnee Knight of New Canaan, CT, the event raised funds to support an organization whose mission is to provide food to children living below the poverty level by supplying them with meals for the weekend. The event was held at a private residence, where guests could enjoy a tour of the wine vaults, with wines from France, Spain, Italy, Australia and more—plus music, hors d’oeuvres and a four-course dinner created by chefs Luke Venner of Elm Restaurant, Daniel Sabia of Wood Fire & Food, Christian Petroni of Fortina and Rowan Johnson of the Culinary Institute of America. The funds raised at the event enables Filling in the Blanks to impact more and more lives.
