A Snack Mix That Won’t Disappoint

Serendipity Must Have

You already know that By the Way Bakery, the gluten- and dairy-free, kosher bakery, makes delicious cakes and baked goods. (Case in point: The Amy—an individual bundt cake with sprinkles inside and out that founder and CEO Helene Godin calls the “bestseller among bestsellers.”) But now they’ve added a snack mix to their offerings that’s sure to become a new favorite. “I always had in the back of my mind that Mo Mix would be the perfect addition to the By the Way Bakery menu. It was a family favorite and my go-to gift for friends for years,” says Godin. The mix needed to be adjusted to not only fit their gluten- and dairy-free standards, but also be made in large batches.

“Making lemonade out of lemons, my bakers spent the winter of 2020 testing the process until they were successful. Because I knew that once our bakery customers opened a bag of Mo Mix, they’d definitely want another.” she says. In three flavors—chocolate hazelnut, coconut almond, and pecan chai —the “salty-sweet” mix includes cereal squares, pretzels and salted caramel. They have four retail locations but the mix can also be ordered from their website and shipped. Plus, you can find their baked goods in Whole Foods throughout New England.
