There’s a new addition to the Westport, CT, dining scene—and a familiar one, at that. Norwalk-based Basso Restaurant & Wine Bar recently announced it will be leaving that location—where they have been for over a decade—and move to a space twice its size at 33 Jessup Rd., in Westport. The new location will feature many of the same Mediterranean and South American-influenced, locally sourced menu items by Chef Renato Donzelli, like tapas, along with fun additions, like wood-fired Neapolitan pizza. The renovations in the new space were done by Stamford-based CPG Architects, and include elements like exposed brick walls, recycled wood, and even a special art collection. Plus, perfect for our current socially distanced dining scene, there is an outdoor area as well as a private chef room.
