April Larken is a Greenwich-based DJ, by way of NYC and London. With a natural flair for mixing music and an early career in fashion design, April stands firmly at the intersection of music and fashion as she is equally influenced by both. Her signature sound spans the eras and blends all genres. She’ll seamlessly segue from current pop hits into classic hip hop, alt-rock, and 90’s throwbacks.  

Whether she’s DJing a high-profile launch or leading a crowd into the wee hours at a glamorous gala, April is steadily building her DJ reputation beat by beat. Her client list includes Valentino, Porsche, Condé Nast, Dylan Lauren, Saks Fifth Avenue, Chopard, and Michael Kors to name a few.

April has opened for Kesha, Flo Rida, the legendary Ms. Lauryn Hill, Gavin DeGraw, Big Head Todd and the Monsters, Michael Bolton and 98 Degrees. She’s been both Allure Magazine’s Best of Beauty Awards show DJ and the Greenwich International Film Festival awards show DJ three times. April has performed at NYC’s Ziegfeld Ballroom, The Plaza Hotel, Mandarin Oriental’s Rooftop Ballroom, The Lighthouse at Chelsea Piers and The Capitol Theatre. ​In the spring of 2020 she will open for Gloria Gaynor ​and Andy Grammer.​

Before DJing, April made a name for herself in the bridal fashion world —designing in NYC for top couture houses Carolina Herrera and Vera Wang and in London as a private client wedding dress designer. Years later those connections remain strong, as she seasonably curates music for NY Bridal Fashion Week and New York Fashion Week. 

To April, her success is about so much more than being the Girl DJ at a trendy party—this is a lifetime of music obsession come to fruition.
