What are you best known for?
A sophisticated yet functional design aesthetic that instills a feeling of timelessness to all of my projects. I also work with my clients on developing and expanding their
art collections.

How have the places that you’ve lived or traveled influenced your work?
I have lived in Connecticut, New York, Miami, Nantucket and Los Angeles, but am so happy to have opened my showroom here in Greenwich. It’s such an idyllic, family-based community dm-lynne-scalo-design-4filled with chic and
sophisticated people! I have an extensive background in fine arts and I bring a global perspective to all of my projects. I love
to combine various periods and styles
to create a cohesive story that is relevant to a particular family.

Who are your biggest influences?
I am always inspired by iconic people who dare to do more, dream more and really embrace life!

What’s your design process like?
My design process is very organic and always inspired by my clients. I approach a project as if it were a sculpture and create from the inside out. I love that moment when it all comes together. It’s very rewarding to see how much joy you can bring to a client. I really love what I do—making the world a better place one room at a time!

Is there an iconic room or design that
always inspires you?
The Tuileries Garden in late summer. With some sun on my face and good company, it’s very inspiring!
