Celebrating 30 years of making wishes come true for children with life-threatening medical conditions, Make-A-Wish Connecticut held its annual Celebrating Wishes Ball on Saturday, November 5. The dinner and auction, held at the Greenwich Country Club, raised more than $550,000. Emcees husband and wife duo Michael Kay of the YES Network and broadcast journalist Jodi Applegate introduced almost a dozen wish kids to the 400 guests who attended. John Crowley, a wish dad and former National Board chairman was the evening’s special guest. He is the inspiration for the film Extraordinary Measures.
