Doing good while looking great: that was the idea behind our 9th annual Fashion Night Out, presented by Lifewtr at the Loading Dock in Stamford. The evening began with remarks from a very special guest: supermodel Christy Turlington Burns, speaking about Every Mother Counts, the charity she founded to achieve quality maternity care for all. Afterward, some of the area’s most philanthropic men and women strutted down the Jeep runway in support of their favorite charities, rocking spring looks by Mark Cain and J.Hilburn (Nancy Carr, stylist). Then came the ultimate scene-stealers—mini models! These pint-sized philanthropists, dressed in adorable outfits from Lester’s (Rainbows! Hearts! Coral polo shirts!), were definitely “awww”-inspiring, judging by the audience reaction. Thanks to Frederic Fekkai, every model’s hair and makeup was fab, and there were flowers decorating the entire party space, courtesy of Fresh Flower Bar. After the show wrapped, guests shopped runway-worthy looks, enjoyed a beauty treatment courtesy of Greenwich Medical Spa, and more. DJ April Larken dropped the beats while guests captured their memories at the photo booth in the sleek Ethan Allen lounge. All that fun worked up the crowd’s appetite! Luckily Abigail Kirsch Catering was on hand, serving delectable passed appetizers as well as dinner, which included a Noodle and Sushi Bar, Mac & Cheese Bar, and Slider Station. Great drinks flowed throughout the festivities, such as cocktails made from Titos Handmade Vodka, ice-cold beer from Heineken, wine from 90+ Cellars, plus plenty of thirst-quenching Lifewtr, supplied by the event’s presenting sponsor. Towards the end of the evening an important announcement was made: Family Centers, a nonprofit organization offering education, health, and human services in Fairfield County, was gifted a $2,500 check by Tito’s for having raised the most money through ticket sales. The night wasn’t over, though, till the results of the evening raffle were announced. Lucky winners walked away with coveted prizes including an India Hicks tote, a Marc Cain shopping spree, a collection of Oliver Thomas bags, and Greenwich Wine + Food Festival VIP All Weekend Passes.
