Susanne Berne

Born and raised on the Caribbean island of St. Thomas, Susanne’s culinary adventure has always been about dessert. After attending the French Culinary Institute, Susanne worked and traveled across the US, including NYC, San Antonio, TX and Orlando, FL serving as the Pastry Chef for the Ritz-Carlton from 2004 -2007. After that she worked at Valencia College Teaching Pastry Arts and sharing her passion for desserts.

Moving to CT in 2014, she began working with The Match restaurant group as well as various other endeavors. She is currently the Pastry Chef for Bianco Rosso in Trumbull.

Susanne has received numerous accolades and culinary recognition including taking home 1st Place in the 2005 Florida Pastry Championship for Sugar Work. Winning Connecticut Magazine Best Desserts 2015, 2016, 2019. 2015 Best Dish of the Year by Hearst Media Dinning Guide and being honored atGreenwich Wine and Food Festival in 2018 as Innovative Chef of the Year.
