Joe Giordano, Executive Chef at Gabriele’s of Greenwich, has been a fixture in the Greenwich and New York dining scene for over 35 years. In 2011, Chef Giordano accepted a position as Executive Chef of Gabriele’s – where he has spent the majority of his time since. Chef Giordano is renowned for his ability to make food that others simply cannot. At Gabriele’s, Joe’s focus has been bringing life to unique menu options that are placed around a traditional steakhouse menu. Now, with the exciting renovations underway on Gabriele’s upstairs ballroom, Chef Giordano is excited for the challenge of adapting the menu to meet the needs of the new space.
How to see Joe in 2018!
Prior to Gabriele’s, Giordano had been at Valbella where he was twice tasked with building out a new kitchen in 1994 in Greenwich, CT and later for Valbella’s mid-town New York City location. At Valbella, Joe’s menu was focused on having a “wow” factor – an attribute that has served him well at Gabriele’s.
Prior to Valbella, Joe was the headline chef of Portofino on City Island in New York, having been named as the headline chef just two years after graduating culinary school.
Giordano is a 1982 graduate of Le Cordon Bleu culinary school in New York City, graduating at the top of his class.
