Lindsay Perkins is a Chef Educator in Hartford, Connecticut, whose signature style blends creativity and fun, enabling children and adults to feel comfortable to explore and expand their culinary skills, without the added pressure of perfectionism. Her warm and encouraging nature shines through when teaching others how to cook and bake, while giving a food demonstration on TV or in front of a large crowd, or when working with a client to design the perfect culinary event.

A native of Wethersfield, Connecticut, Lindsay graduated from The University of Connecticut with a Bachelors of Art Degree in English, after her earning her Associate’s Degree in Liberal Arts from Manchester Community College. She is a graduate of Connecticut Culinary Institute’s Advanced Pastry & Baking Program, with honors distinction.
Lindsay has worked in all aspects of the food and beverage industry for over 20 years. Her baking skills were developed at Truffles Bakery & Kitchen in Farmington, CT. Her love for teaching became clear during her time as a Corporate Trainer for The Rainforest Cafe, where, as a lead bartender trainer on the National Training Team, she opened many new restaurant locations around the United States.
Currently, Lindsay is proud to grow her small business, Lindsay Culinary, LLC, by partnering with local family owned cooking store, Cookshop Plus, in West Hartford Center, and the Mandell JCC of Greater Hartford, where she creates culinary experiences for kids and adults through baking and cooking classes. She designs culinary team building and group cooking events for corporations and companies, large and small. Lindsay is also the Culinary Director for Camp KO on the campus of Kingswood Oxford School where she inspires the next generation of Chefs with culinary programs that focus on culinary education, baking, cooking, knife skills, food safety, and food styling & photography.
