From Texas to Belize to Fiji, have a spa day anywhere in the world at one of these luxury resorts.

AUSTIN, TX

LAKE AUSTIN SPA RESORT

Nestled on 17 lakefront acres in Central Texas’ legendary Hill Country, the 25,000-square-foot Lake House Spa has an outdoor pool, hot tub, 30 treatment areas, including garden tents and suites, an indoor heated junior Olympiclength lap pool, and more than 100 treatments. The intimate property ( just 40 rooms) is located on the shores of Lake Austin and offers more than 20 waterbased activities, including canoeing, hydro-biking, kayaking, SUP, water meditation, water yoga and floating boot camp. Meanwhile, on-land activities include Pilates, Tai Chi, crystal bowl meditation and forest bathing.

Treatment to try: The Regal by Valmont is more than two hours long and many compare it to having a face lift. The technique employed, inspired by surgical lifting, targets the facial muscles to tone and smooth wrinkles and restore elasticity. It includes six masks, four massages and a complete collagen treatment for the face, neck, décolleté and eyes.

Good to know: The cuisine at the resort focuses on fresh, locally sourced ingredients, many of which come from the on-site organic garden. Three meals a day are included in overnight stays and can be eaten in the lakefront restaurant, in the spa café, as a picnic on the grounds or in the privacy of your cottage room.

BOCA RATON, FL
THE BOCA RATON

The Boca Raton is made up of five hotels— Beach Club, Bungalows, Cloister, Tower and Yacht Club—set within a luxury resort, with amenities including a private beach, 50,000-square-foot Spa Palmera, 18-hole golf course, 34-slip marina, racquet club with tennis and pickleball courts, retail boutiques, Harborside Pool Club, a children’s club and two fitness clubs. (Phew!)

Treatment to try: Recently renovated as a part of the property’s $250-million phase one transformation, Spa Palmera features 44 treatment rooms. Don’t miss the hot gemstone massage, which is said to harness the power of precious gemstones—including subsidian black stone, volcanic stone and rose quartz— together with aromatherapy and heat to create an intentional, chakra-focused experience.

Good to know: The Boca Raton’s 18-hole golf course is a par-71 course and treasured Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary. There is also a full program of clinics and lessons, equipment, a driving range and pro shop.

BELIZE
TURNEFFE ISLAND RESORT

An hour and a half off the mainland—a private boat shuttles guests from Belize City— Turneffe Island Resort has gained a reputation for its natural, Caribbean beauty, unplugged atmosphere, and world-class sea adventures, including customizable, one-of-a-kind snorkeling, scuba diving and fishing excursions. In fact, every activity, meal and treatment is personalized to each traveler.

Treatment to try: The spa uses local, fresh ingredients, like fresh papaya, banana and pineapple for their signature facials, local Belizean honey for body scrubs, and seaweed from a local, sustainable farm for wraps. The body scrub, which includes honey and brown sugar, is one of the most popular treatment options–it first exfoliates and then rehydrates the skin.

Good to know: The resort boasts some of the best scuba diving in the Caribbean with more than 32 dive sites from the Sayonara Wreck to the Elbow and all within minutes from the resort.

FIJI
KOKOMO PRIVATE ISLAND

Located in the pristine Kadavu Islands, south of the Fijian mainland this resort is spread across 140 acres, with 21 private villas—each with their own infinity pool—and five hilltop luxury residences. The property is also home to a 5.5-acre organic farm and hydroponics garden yielding a variety of fruits and vegetables, as well as free-range chickens that produce the island’s eggs and Italian crossbred beehives generating the resort’s exotic honey. Kokomo offers three restaurants for on-site locally sourced produce and caught-to-order seafood from its sustainable “Dock to Dish” fishing program.

Treatment to try: The Yaukuve Spa Sanctuary is nestled in a lush, tropical garden—and you’ll find the relaxation pavilion, which serves as the starting point on your spa journey, at the heart. There are five treatment rooms, a wet and dry hammam, hair salon and outdoor relaxation pavilion as well. One of the most popular treatments is the 75-minute Kokomo seashell massage, which incorporates exfoliation, deep tissue and warm moisturizing seashells.

Good to know: There are yoga, meditation and fitness bootcamps as well as snorkeling, diving, fishing, kayaking, and yachting on property.

ROME, ITALY
ANANTARA PALAZZO NAIADI ROME

In the center of Piazza della Repubblica and steeped in architectural history— original elements were commissioned by Pope Clement XI for the Vatican in 1705—this hotel is also home to one of the largest rooftop terraces in the city, and thus has stunning views of the skyline.

Treatment to try: The Diocletian bath ritual is a nod to the fact that the hotel is built over the ruins of the Baths of Diocletian (inside the business center of the hotel there are glass floors where you can look down to see some of the ruins). This service includes ingredients that have been used since ancient times: olive oil, honey, sea salt, salt-pan mud, and medicinal herbs like St. John’s wort, laurel, sage and lavender, which all comes together in a truly unique and modern way.

Good to know: The hotel’s location is walking distance to some of the city’s top sights, including the Colosseum, Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps.

ABU DHABI
THE ANANTARA EASTERN MANGROVES HOTEL

Set on the edge of Abu Dhabi, The Anantara Spa has 10 distinct treatment rooms and offers a plethora of eastern healing treatments infused with Arabic influences. A traditional Turkish hammam, three deluxe double suites, and two private VIP hammam scrub rooms come with Vichy shower rooms and an LPG room for lipomassage and endermologie.

Treatment to try: The Anantara Royal Hammam is a 90-minute treatment that includes steam and sauna, cleansing and exfoliation, olive oil soap foam massage, a honey mask, face cleansing, and hair shampoo and condition.

Good to know: In keeping with the resort’s wellness theme, a variety of exercise classes are offered and the restaurant’s focus is on fresh, locally sourced healthy cuisine.
