7 Restaurants to Try in Nantucket This Summer

Nantucket is chock full of incredible restaurants and each season brings new ones to taste! Here are our favorites rolling into Summer 2023 (in no particular order).  

Remember to always make reservations or if you’re lucky you may be able to snag some bar seats.

1. Straight Wharf

Why: It’s the perfect location for a little pre or post-shopping in town. They change their menu regularly to match seasonal ingredients. Pro tip – For a more casual setting try the bar room.

Don’t Miss: At the Bar: Blue Fish Pate & the Goombay Smash cocktail; In Dinning Room: The Swordfish.

2. Galley Beach

Why: The sunsets are beautiful and you are seated right next to the water’s edge. While it’s an expensive treat, Executive Chef W. Scott Osif makes every bite well worth it.

Don’t Miss: The Halibut

3. American Seasons

Why: Set outside of town, with cascading greenery, this place is like walking into a storybook. It’s perfect for a romantic evening or an escape. There is also a small bar in the back to dine at.

Don’t Miss: The Whipped Ricotta with Sourdough Toast

4. Bar Yoshi

Why: On the waterfront at the historic Old South Wharf, every seat is a great seat. From the sushi to the fire-glazed ribs, everything is delicious.  

Don’t miss: Ceviche Duo and Spicy Mango Margarita

5. The Nautilus

Why: On their website, it says “Welcome to the Nautilus Nantucket. The coolest place on Earth.” And we would have to agree. The food is creative and exceptional. Watching the bartenders create specialty drinks is captivating.

Don’t Miss: Blue Crab Fried Rice and The Tequila Mockingbird

6. The Seagrille

Why: This restaurant is located outside of town with a parking lot and two bars! They have a variety of phenomenal local and fresh regional fresh seafood menu items. It’s a favorite for locals. 

Don’t Miss: Oysters, Sole Piccata, and the Pineapple Margarita 

7. Topper’s

Why: The experience! Take a cruise on the Nantucket Bay aboard The Wauwinet Lady, a 20-passenger boat. A breathtaking trip from the White Elephant dock to Topper’s and then a return trip.
