Girls’ Night Out Supports Person-to-Person

Serendipity’s Girls’ Night Out is a socially conscious evening that combines fashion, food and fun, all to support great causes. Held this year on April 21 at The Loading Dock in Stamford, CT, the event gave guests the opportunity to shop, mingle and honor the philanthropists who contribute to the community. An enthusiastic crowd cheered as these charitable models (and kids!) showed off fresh spring looks. The party continued with gourmet cuisine from caterer Abigail Kirsch, refreshing lemon cocktails from Keel Vodka and dance hits performed by the popular band Sweet & Meaty. In between, guests shopped for gorgeous clothing and jewelry, sampled expert beauty services and products and tasted fine wines. These individuals are heroes in the community for their efforts to help vital causes. Meet the men, women and children who made Girls’ Night Out a success.

Opus for Person-to-Person (P2P) (Darien, CT)

Her role: Co-president

Mission: Opus is the fundraising arm of Person-to-Person,  a volunteer-driven, community agency that provides food pantries, financial assistance, a clothing center, counseling, college  scholarships and other critical services to more than 24,000  individuals in the greater Stamford/Norwalk area.

What drew you to this charity? “I was originally recruited to work on one of the Opus fundraisers. I loved being able to contribute to my community and surrounding towns in need. I was attracted to the organization by their college scholarship programs for low-income students. I then learned about the campership programs, which I am extremely fond of. They send elementary school children to camp over summer so the parents can remain employed and the children are in a safe and stimulating, fun environment. Being president this year has been an honor and a great privilege to work more closely with P2P.”
