Luxury in Maui: Where to Stay & What to Do

Hawaii has always been a great destinationโ€” and these days, it shines even brighter. While there are no shortage of great accommodations in Maui, the 15-acre Andaz Maui at Wailea Resort is sure to impress. Youโ€™ll have upscale luxury accommodations, sweeping views of the ocean, award-winning dining options, including Morimoto Maui, and a world-class spa.

THE STAY

With a highly desirable location on Mauiโ€™s southwest coast, this property overlooks Mokapu Beach. (Fun fact: Travelers can snorkel directly from the property and thereโ€™s plenty of colorful coral and fish.)

The Andaz has 321 guestrooms and suites, but for a treat, stay in one of the 11 villas. Be sure to check out the two restaurantsโ€”Kaโ€™ana Kitchen helmed by Executive Chef Isaac Bancaco and Morimoto Maui by acclaimed Chef Masaharu Morimoto.

THE SPA

The Awili Spa & Salon has more than 14,000 square feet of premier space for treatment rooms, relaxation area and a lounge. Plus, thereโ€™s an adults-only pool (the hotel also boasts three infinity pools) and extensive menu of treatments including facials, massages and wraps. The apothecary blend bar is also unique: apothecary specialists will help you create custom blended bath and body products.

WHAT TO DO ON PROPERTY

There are plenty of activities at the Andaz including outrigger excursions, once the traditional mode of transportation by Hawaiians. The property also offers complimentary classes, such as traditional lei making, hula and ukulele lessons.

WHAT TO DO IN MAUI

Be sure to take the famous road to Hana, which has amazing waterfalls along the way. Thereโ€™s great shopping to be had in Wailea and the nearby Wailea Golf Club is ideal for golfing. A highlight for hikers is a visit to Haleakala National Park. Adventurers, be sure to watch the sunrise there (itโ€™s stunning!).
