Endeavor’s Cocktail Party Raises $123,000 For Therapeutic Horse Programs

Endeavor Therapeutic Horsemanship’s Third Annual Summer Cocktail Party was held on May 20, 2017 at the Endeavor Farm in Bedford, NY. The event, chaired by Pamela Wygod and Caroline Grubb, featured delicious hors d’oeuvres and cocktails; live music from bluegrass duo, the Dang-It Bobbys; a live streaming of the Preakness Stakes; and a fantastic live and silent auction, which included trips to Turks and Caicos, Napa, Nantucket and Kentucky. Over $123,000 was raised. “The funds are earmarked to benefit two of our programs that are offered free of charge: our Veterans Program and our Equine Assisted Learning Program. Endeavor offers a combination of therapeutic riding, ground horsemanship skills, and equine assisted psychotherapy to Veterans in the PTSD Unit at the VA Montrose and the Outpatient Unit at VA Bronx. Our Equine Assisted Learning Program is through a partnership with the Bedford Central School District to offer experiential learning opportunities to their Special Education Classes,” says Executive Director Emily Wygod Bushnell.

Endeavor’s mission is to empower individuals with a broad range of special needs but providing the highest quality equine-assisted activities and therapies in an inclusive and welcoming environment.
