Family & Children’s Agency (FCA), a prominent nonprofit organization based in Norwalk and serving all of Fairfield County, proudly announces the success of its annual IMAGINE benefit, held at the Hyatt Regency Greenwich on May 18, 2024. This year’s event, co-chaired by Sean McMurtry, Rita McKenna Olson, and Jennifer Toll, was an amazing display of support for FCA and the community.
“We are incredibly grateful for the generosity we received at this year’s IMAGINE,” said Robert F. Cashel, President & CEO of Family & Children’s Agency. “The funds raised will have a profound impact on our ability to continue offering critical services and support to the vulnerable populations we serve. Together, we are making a tangible difference in our community.”
Highlights of the evening included a lively auction led by Lydia Fenet, author, speaker, and Christie’s ambassador who was named one of New York’s most influential women by Gotham magazine. The auction included four Adirondack chairs hand-painted by students in FCA’s ASPIRE after-school program, which showcased the remarkable talent and creativity of the students. In addition, guests were deeply moved by a video showcasing the story of a resilient young woman in FCA’s Foster Care program. Her foster mother, Sunny, was recognized during the event and celebrated for having supported more than 75 children in her home over her 17 years as a foster parent. Finally, attendees danced the night away to Tangled Vine, five-time Best of the Gold Coast “Best Local Rock Band” winner.
The funds generated from IMAGINE will support FCA’s wide array of programs, including those that prevent child abuse and neglect through parenting education and guidance, build families through adoption, educate middle and high school students, support children in foster care, house the homeless, help women struggling with addiction, and keep seniors safe and cared for in their homes.
