Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams introduces its Spring 2018 Collection of classic modern and new traditional silhouettes, boldly punctuated by a vivid and uplifting mix of colors, textures, patterns, and prints. Inspired by their design team’s travels, you’ll find unconventional forms and sculptural shapes, as well as familiar designs updated for today’s living.

What inspires you? Our modern slant is a homage to the iconic American designs born of eras that continue to capture our imaginations, from the Mid-century to late 1970s, in styles that are clean-lined, comfortable, and current. Our design team also draws inspiration from movies, TV, books, and magazines. Our travels, as well as unique finds at flea markets and antique stores, also inspires us to think about how we can take something and make it more relevant for today.

What’s the handiest design trick you lean on in a pinch? One of our favorite, and quickest ways, to refresh and define a space is with a new rug. It can elevate comfort, add instant warmth, and welcoming texture. Introducing statement-making wall art
and accessories is also a quick and easy way to revive a space, while adding color and interest.

What makes a classic chair? A well-designed chair is a matter of function and aesthetics: it should be comfortable, but also look fabulous from all angles. And, depending on its function, a truly comfortable chair is either upright for support, or more laid-back for relaxing

How can people take your signature style and make it their own? Within each of our Signature Stores, you’ll find talented designers to help you create the perfect mix of style and comfort in a range of styles, fabrics, and finishes. From finding colors that make a space serene, to choosing finishing touches like rugs, lighting, and draperies, we will work with you to create a personalized plan for a room, or your entire house—either in-store or in the comfort of your own home.
