At this surprise-filled shop located in downtown Greenwich, CT, customers can buy or sell their antiques, collectibles, fine furnishings and other treasures. Owner Hilary Kallop also conducts on-site estate or tag sales for local residents.
What are you best known for?
Consign It Greenwich is a consignment-only shop focusing on home furnishings and accessories, from antique to modern. We are well-known for our daily turnover, unique inventory, and great deals.
Whatโs one thing about your business that most people donโt know?
Our inventory isnโt just from your grandmotherโs attic! Every day we see like-new items coming in the door from retailers such as Baker, Stark, Baccarat, Lillian August and Simon Pearce (and yes, we offer moving services!).
What design trend do you love?
I love the juxtaposition of the old with the new, mixing antique treasures with more clean and modern pieces. It creates the feeling that a space has been decorated over timeโa classic look!
What makes shopping consignment so fun?
The hunt! Whether itโs the perfect mid-century bedside tables you have been looking for, or an accessory such as a beautiful glass bowl for your coffee table that you never knew you needed, there is something for everyone.
What is your best seller?
This question is impossible to answer. Each day and season offers such a variety of items coming and going. Fall is a good time for china, dining room tables and jewelry, and spring is the time for outdoor furniture, lamps and artwork to freshen up!
