A Great Day for Golf

At the 4th annual Serendipity Golf Classic presented by Pure Leaf, 72 golfers teed off for a great day of golf to benefit the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation (MMRF)—an organization dedicated to funding research for the treatment of multiple myeloma.

Held on June 12 at the GlenArbor Golf Club in Bedford Hills, NY, the event kicked off at the driving range, where players could practice their swing before heading to the luxury gift suite, which included Arccos drivers, 90-plus bottles of prosecco, golf balls from Rudy’s Executive Transportation, hand-rolled cigars by Empire City Casino and lots more.

After a delicious lunch on the terrace, the players headed onto the course, which featured lots of fun elements along in addition to the game itself, including signature wood-fired pizza and hand-crafted cocktails like the Woodford Reserve Arnold Palmer. A cocktail reception and dinner rounded out the event. There, teams were given awards for Closest to the Pin, Gross Low and more. Also fun? The silent auction, which featured many unique and luxury items and experiences, such as round-trip airfare courtesy of Tradewind Aviation, a cocktail party from Marcia Selden Catering, one-of-a-kind art by Charles Patrick, select wines provided by Val’s Putnam Wine and Liquor and more.

But the highlight of the day was supporting a worthwhile cause. Multiple myeloma is an incurable blood cancer and the MMRF helps fund life-changing research to discover innovative treatments and work towards a cure.

“The MMRF is so grateful to be the primary beneficiary of the Serendipity Golf Classic and Greenwich Wine and Food Festival, which will raise key funds toward research that will accelerate precision medicine for all patients. Serendipity did a wonderful job with the golf outing, we had perfect weather, a beautiful course and great company,” said John Strawbridge Senior Manager, Development at MMRF.
