Autism Speaks held its 19th Annual Celebrity Golf Challenge on Monday, June 19, 2017 at the prestigious Winged Foot Golf Club in Mamaroneck, NY. Co-chaired by Susan and Kevin Murray, the event featured a day of golf followed by an evening of sipping cocktails and sampling wine from The Withers Winery in California, followed by a gourmet dinner. The evening concluded with a Q & A with Autism Speaks President and CEO Angela Geiger and a silent auction. Celebrity guests included New York Rangers defenseman Nick Holden and former New York Rangers defenseman Dan Girardi; New York Red Bulls stars Sacha Kljestan, Connor Lade, Luis Robles and Sal Zizzo; WCBS-TV sports anchor Otis Livingston; and former New York Giants tight end Howard Cross. Funds raised help support the mission of Autism Speaks to help enhance lives today and accelerate a spectrum of solutions for tomorrow.
Autism Speaks is dedicated to promoting solutions, across the spectrum and throughout the life span, for the needs of individuals with autism and their families through advocacy and support; increasing understanding and acceptance of people with autism spectrum disorder; and advancing research into causes and better interventions for autism spectrum disorder and related conditions.
