Food For All 2016: Local Restaurants and More Came Together to Raise Money For Community Plates

The newest area restaurants and craft cocktail bars were on display at Food For All 2016, the May 4 fundraiser to support Community Plates, an organization that transfers fresh, usable food that’s being thrown away from restaurants to food insecure families. Four hundred guests attended the strolling culinary event at The Loading Dock in Stamford, CT, where food and wine took center stage, as guests got to sample dishes from eateries that included Fortina in Stamford, CT and Rye, NY, EL Segundo in South Norwalk, CT, and chef Matt Storch’s Nom Eez in Bridgeport, CT. Music from DJ Mahatma Manny set the tone, while an auction raised $25,000 in just over 45 minutes for Community Plates.
