Education Celebration

The Stamford Public Education Foundation (SPEF) held its 12th Annual Excellence in Education Awards at the Sheraton Stamford Hotel to celebrate public education in Stamford. The event was attended by over 400 guests who enjoyed the performance of Westhill’s Jazz Ensemble while they participated in a silent auction. The SPEF Leadership award went to Barbara Dalio, co-founder and director of the Dalio Foundation; Nat West Markets CEO Paul Stevleman accepted the SPEF Philanthropy Award for the company’s volunteer efforts and generosity in helping SPEC pursue its mission, while Janell Iyer was honored with the 2019 Educator Award.
