Family Centers Transports Guests to London for Annual Benefit

It was a night of British elegance, style and tradition as Family Centers transported more than 350 guests back to jolly old England for its “London Calling” benefit.

Held at the Greenwich home of Nancy and Dominic Casserley, Family Centers drew on everything from the Royal family to London’s explosive arts and music scene for inspiration to create an authentic British experience.  The event was co-chaired by Nancy Casserley, Kate Clark, Ashley Reid, Abby Ritman and Jean Witmer.

During the event’s cocktail reception, guests strolled the iconic “Wimbledon Garden” while listening to acoustic versions of British Invasion classics.

Inside the tent, a Union Jack decor, portraits of the Queen and illuminated images of famous London landmarks set the tone.  As guests enjoyed a traditional English feast prepared by Marcia Selden Catering, they were treated to the sounds of the most revered British musician.  After dinner, guests danced the night away to the sounds of Element Music.

“London” was Family Centers’ largest fundraiser of the year, and raised more than $860,000 for the agency’s health, education and human services that helped more than 21,000 children and adults last year.

Family Centers is a private, nonprofit organization offering education and human services to children, adults and families in Fairfield County. More than 200 professionals and 2,500 trained volunteers work together to provide a wide range of responsive, innovative programs.
