Food For All: An Evening to End Food Insecurity

Food Rescue US, the CT-based, technology-fueled, direct-transfer food rescue organization dedicated to ending food insecurity in America, presented their signature fundraising event, Food for All at Abigail Kirsch at the Loading Dock in Stamford, highlighting the Food Rescue US goals for the coming year and paying gratitude to the many volunteers and supporters who share in the desire to put an end to food insecurity.

The exclusive VIP Cocktail Hour offered private pre-event cocktails and food presented by Chef Bill Taibe of Kawa Ni, Jessup Hall and The Whelk. Restaurants participating in the Grand Tasting portion of the evening were Abigail Kirsch, Amis, Bar Zepoli, Beach House, Bobby Q’s, Flinder’s Lane, Harlan House, Knot Norms Catering, Match Burger Lobster, My Myx Kitchen, Roger Sherman Inn, Saltwater Sono, Taproot, The Spread and Village Social.

In addition to the wide variety of tasting plates, this year’s guests enjoyed beverages from Deutsch Family Wine & Spirits, El Buho Mezcal, Lagunitas, Rise Brewing Company, Spiked Seltzer and Tito’s Handmade Vodka. There were a number of auction items available, both silent and live, including weekend getaways, in home chef experiences and late night talk show tickets.

Food Rescue US CEO Carol Shattuck said, “We are thrilled that our seventh annual Food For All event was a great success. Everyone enjoyed tasting wonderful food and drinks from the fifteen Fairfield County restaurants and mixologists. Most importantly, we exceeded our goal and these funds will allow us to deliver 60,000 meals to food insecure children and families.”
