The Glass House celebrated its annual Summer Party and 70th anniversary since its building in 1949 on Saturday, June 8th. Guests enjoyed a show-stopping performance by renowned high-wire artist Philippe Petit and a musical performance by Harlem-based band, The Marching Cobras. The Summer Party featured a farm-to-table picnic provided by South End New Canaan with rosé by Whispering Angel. Guests also participated in a special auction for contemporary art, luxury items, and experiences and were free to roam the 49-acre property to enjoy its various exhibits, including Summer Party artist Adam McEwen’s sculpture Chocked Rim (2019). Thanks to its generous guests and sponsors, the Glass House raised $550,000 to keep the Glass House a vibrant, cultural center in New Canaan.
