The summer kicked off on a generous note at Greenwich Hospital’s Under the Stars event, which benefitted women’s and children’s health at the hospital. Attendees were greeted at Riverside Yacht Club with outdoor cocktails and scenic views of Long Island Sound before they entered the cozy and contemporary farmhouse-inspired tent. Country-pop music sensation and Greenwich native, Caroline Jones, headlined the night, accompanied by DJ April Larken and Fairfield County’s premier cover band, The Short Bus.
At the event, guests enjoyed tarragon lobster salad, filet mignon and salmon fillet. There were also one-of-a-kind auction items and a need-based donation Wish List compiled by Greenwich Hospital physicians and nurses that attracted generous donations. In fact, the fundraiser surpassed its goal by raising $600,000, which will help support the full range of women’s and children’s health services at Greenwich Hospital as well as attracting and retaining the nation’s best physicians, nurses, and hospital staff.
Greenwich Hospital President and CEO, Norman G. Roth honored Patricia Calayag, MD for her leadership and accomplishment in the field of Obstetrics and Gynecology. “Dr. Calayag’s great impact on the health of our community is admired and respected by her patients and colleagues. She is a wonderful role model of care excellence and professionalism. An asset to our medical staff and our hospital, she is most deserving of this award tonight,” he said.
