Greenwich Land Trust Makes Its Mark on Earth Day

On Saturday, April 23, volunteers for Greenwich Land Trust celebrated Earth Day in the greenest way possible: by rolling up their sleeves and gardening at GLT’s American Chestnut Sanctuary at Burning Tree Road in Greenwich, CT. Those participating helped beautify the sanctuary by planting native flowers and trees, removing invasive weeds and taking part in a wildlife release with the nonprofit animal welfare organization, Wildlife in Crisis. Whole Food Market in Greenwich, CT, provided lunch for all volunteers.[envira-gallery id="10199"]
