Leukemia Cup Regatta Raises Funds for Leukemia & Lymphoma Society

The American Yacht Club (AYC), in Rye, NY hosted the Leukemia Cup Regatta to benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS).  The Leukemia Cup Regatta campaign is a thrilling series of sailing events, nationwide, that combine the joy of boating with the important task of raising money to cure cancer.

With Co-Chairs Jim and Judy Wilson at the helm for the second year, an astounding $200,000 has been raised to fund the LLS mission, cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. After a day of sailing, nearly 270 guests attended the post-race party held at AYC and danced to music by The Chad Hollister band, sipped wine and champagne provided by Chandon, beer from DogFish and Captain Lawrence, and enjoyed Goslings rum products.

Silent and live auction items ranging from artwork to vacations to a Rolls Royce rental (compliments of Miller Motor Cars), coupled with a ‘Fund the Fight’ paddle raise brought in $79,000.
