Serendipity celebrated some of the area’s most philanthropic men and women at the 6th annual Girls’ Night Out, a fashionable and socially conscious evening held at The Loading Dock in Stamford, CT. Men and women who have dedicated their time to giving back to their community graced the runway as models during the event, while simultaneously championing a cause that’s close to their heart.
As an enthusiastic and supportive crowd cheered, the models showed off fresh spring looks from Eileen Fisher, J. McLaughlin, Roberta Roller Rabbit and Tina Dragone. Kids got to be part of runway event too, smartly styled in clothes from both Lester’s and Roberta Roller Rabbit.
April Larken, who walked the runway to support Greenwich Hospital’s NICU. “I feel that supporting the pediatrics in your hospital is just as important as supporting your schools—it’s an investment in your child’s future, as well as the children of your friends and neighbors,” she says. After the runway show ended, the party continued with passed and station hors d’oeuvres from caterer Abigail Kirsch and refreshing lemon cocktails from Keel Vodka, while the band, Sweet & Meaty, rocked out. A wide array of area vendors offered opportunities to browse, from gorgeous jewelry to expert beauty secrets to fine wines. And at one of the most popular tables, Empire City Casino gave guests the chance to try their hand at blackjack and roulette. At the end of the night, 10 percent of the event’s proceeds were donated to the various charities championed during the evening.
