Stamford Waterside Design District Celebrates Debut With Textile Designer John Robshaw and More

The Stamford Waterside Design District made its debut as a décor destination on June 1. Companies that included Stark, Kravet, Dedar, Duravit and Fordham Marble presented their wares and held special events in each of their showrooms. A highlight of the event was textile designer John Robshaw in conversation with Serendipity’s home editor Stephanie Horton in the Duralee showroom, where Robshaw discussed how his travels influence and inspire his aesthetic and talked about his new line of furniture, John Robshaw Furniture for Duralee. The roster of guest speakers at the event also included Gretchen Gabrielli, owner of Old Biscayne, and designer Candice Olson, discussing her new line of fabrics for Kravet. The day rounded off with a cocktail reception, with hors d’oeuvres and dessert from Marica Selden Catering & Event Planning.
