Two newly released books, Entertaining Beautifully by Aerin Lauder and An Entertaining Story by India Hicks, are just the inspiration you need when it comes to hosting. “From milestone events to everyday moments, attention to detail has always been very important to me,” says Lauder. “I wanted to share my secrets, tips and ideas for entertaining. Whether it’s a cup of tea for yourself or a more formal gathering of family and friends, every occasion can be special in its own way.”
In her book, Lauder highlights more than 20 different types of events—like a cozy dinner and a stylish Halloween- themed gathering—with tips and tricks throughout. And in Hicks’ book, which includes a foreword by Brooke Shields, you’ll find a whole host of fun, entertaining ideas, often using creative home finds, like beach towels, along with recipes and stories. Hicks’ advice: “Make it what you want, with what you have. You don’t need a big budget, you only need a little imagination,” she says.
