Customized Construction

Typically, prospective home buyers have the option to renovate an existing home or supervise a new construction, both of which can come with their fair share of stressors. Enter NevelHaus. “We were born out of the need for a customizable, high-design and sustainable turn-key home building platform,” says Pelle Hamburger, co-founder with Josh Gelb. “After looking for a home ourselves, we quickly realized there was a void in the Catskills and Hudson Valley, NY, markets. We take away the pain points of new construction and offer clients a one-stop shop from design through completion,” he says.

“The beauty of NevelHaus is that we offer everything in-house, allowing clients to be as involved as they’d like. Each NevelHaus offers customizations so our clients have the flexibility to make the homes unique to their taste.” That includes their most recent collection of finished residences on 44 acres in Stone Ridge, NY. “Each home site offers between two and nine acres and is carefully laid out to offer maximum privacy,” says Hamburger. “We’ve found that our clients enjoy a sense of remoteness without the feeling of complete isolation.” Clients can also license one of their existing sustainably minded designs to be built anywhere, which Hamburger says has been done in Goshen, CT, Canada and South Africa. Price tags start around $1.5 million.

“We strive to source the best materials, talent, and do our part to pay homage to the local surroundings starting with our sleek, sophisticated Pennsylvania barn-inspired design,” says Hamburger. “Our formula has been working; we’ve been able to deliver these homes within a year, pending additional customizations, alleviating the stress of delayed timelines.”
