European transplants Claire Maestroni and Giorgio Maroulis bring a combined 45 years of experience to their design studio and showroom. Voce Di, meaning “voice of” in Italian, offers personalized design services and a curated collection of modern furnishings, such as Calvin Klein Furniture. In addition, Voce Di imports Italian kitchens and bathrooms as well as Belgian flooring. It is a true one stop shop for clients and trade professionals.

Do you have a design icon?
Two major influences would be Axel Vervoordt and Christian Liaigre both, for their pure and clean lines, and a classic yet modern approach to design.

Where do you most like to invest when decorating a home?
A design project is not complete without art. We believe art is the soul of the home.

Where do you most save when decorating?
We travel all over the world, and are able to source one-of-a-kind, exclusive, yet affordable pieces that differentiate the homes of our clients.

voce-di-kitchenIs there a context in which you think it’s OK to go trendy?
We firmly believe that good design should stand the test of time. A home shouldn’t reflect a fleeting trend, but should rather reflect who the owners are, and how they live.

What’s your favorite room to design?
Any room where clients can reconnect with themselves and their families. This could be a library for some, a bathroom/spa for others, a bedroom sanctuary.

voce-di-dining-roomIf you could design a home anywhere, where would it be?
Japan. I love the simplicity and peacefulness of their culture. They are artistic in every aspect of life. Japan has this harmonious beauty that is hard to find anywhere else.
