Ring’s End

With multiple locations throughout Connecticut and Westchester, this family-owned company caters to both design professionals and homeowners. Whether clients are shopping for building supplies, millwork, paint, new architectural hardware or professional design services, they can find them at Ring’s End.

Please briefly describe your business.
Since 1902, our job has been to help our customers build well, to realize their aesthetic vision, and get the best value for their money.

What brands do you carry?
To name a few: Colefax & Fowler, Phillip Jeffries, Scalamandre, Thibaut, Schumacher, Osborne & Little and Cowtan & Tout, with access to dozens of other designer brands. We also offer Hunter Douglas window fashions, Dash & Albert rugs, and premium paints by Benjamin Moore, Farrow & Ball and Fine Paints of Europe.

What is one of the most popular services your business offers?
With 15 paint centers throughout Connecticut and Westchester County, NY, Ring’s End is the largest Benjamin Moore paint retailer in Connecticut. Most locations offer complimentary in-store Color Consultation services to help customers with the often daunting task of choosing color.

What are the latest paint color trends?
As Benjamin Moore recommends in Color Trends 2015, go monochromatic. Try warm, cool, dark and light layers of the same hue.

What is some must-have advice from your color consultants for choosing paint colors?
Start with an inspiration. There is a color for whatever inspires you. And don’t be afraid of depth of color or an unusual finish like super high gloss for walls, cabinets and trim.

What other design services do you offer?
The in-store color consultation often leads to additional in-home custom design services such as Hunter Douglas shop-at-home with measurement and installation provided by Hunter Douglas-certified installers, custom draperies, wallcoverings, fabric and reupholstery. In addition to homeowners, we cater to paint professionals and the architectural and design community. Local interior designers and decorators find the shopping experience at Ring’s End rivals that of the D & D Building in New York City for selection with the advantage of convenience.

Why does a 113-year-old company want to get involved with design & decor services?
The focus of our marketing campaign is RElove Your Home, or as we like to say, the home you love is inside the house you have. As a result of the economic downturn, more and more customers are remodeling their existing homes rather than building new ones. Design and décor services are a natural extension of our business and allow us to offer our customers the convenience of one stop shopping.
