Family owned and operated Aitoro Appliance has built a reputation on providing a unique in-store experience, unmatched customer service and knowledge of the industry’s most current advancements for four generations. We tapped into President and CEO Tony Aitoro’s depth of knowledge to talk trends and tech in kitchens.
Tell us about a favorite recent kitchen project and why it is a favorite. The renovation of the Aitoro Appliance showroom has certainly been our most rewarding project. We increased square footage (now 12,000-square-foot), built customized brand kitchens, and showcased more products. This has allowed us to create a unique experience for builders, architects, designers and customers. We continue to update these kitchens as brands progress.
If you want to stay on-trend, how can you make selections that are fresh but also resale friendly down the road? Though there are many ways to add your own personal touch to your kitchen, it’s helpful to keep the basics simple enough to fit anyone’s taste. Playing with cabinet colors and fun accents like backsplashes can be a good way to diversify your kitchen. On the flipside, keeping your appliances on-trend and technologically advanced, and your countertops clean and sleek, can help appeal to future buyers.
Tech is making all the beautiful forms of today’s kitchens more functional. What are your favorite trends? As far as breakthroughs, a trend gaining traction is WiFi connectivity. Some kitchen appliance brands have created apps where the user can command appliances remotely. From preheating ovens and setting timers to checking dishwasher cycles and adjusting temperatures, WiFi connectivity provides unparalleled convenience. It’s all about whatever makes your daily life easier—that’s luxury to us!
