“Hospitality begins at home (now more than ever!) and the holidays have always been my family’s favorite time of the year,” says Bronson Van Wyck, event designer and co-founder of event design and production firm, Van Wyck & Van Wyck. They recently launched Van Wyck Home for the Holidays, a holiday collection featuring everything from tree and holiday décor design packages to an online shop with wreaths, garland and more.
“We have done holiday pop-up shops, both brick-and-mortar and e-comm in years past, but especially this year, we wanted to share a curated collection of holiday offerings that have made our family gatherings festive and special for so many years,” he says. His entertaining advice: “Cozy, comfortable and authentic is the name of the game this holiday season. When you are setting your table, mix your fresh cut flowers with well-used heirlooms. Break out the wedding china and use your grandmother’s crystal. They often make for great conversation starters and are treasure troves of personal and family stories you can pass down to younger generations.”
