Tiger Lily’s Greenwich

A family-owned interior design studio and workshop that’s served the area for over 22 years, Tiger Lily’s has an on-site team of decorators, upholsterers and artists ready to help clients create unique, personal rooms.

What are you most known for?
Tiger Lily’s is a custom design workroom. We specialize in custom made furniture, upholstery and revitalization of antique pieces. We have a full staff of upholsterers and sewers. We also specialize in custom draperies, pillows and bedding.

What are your top three design rules?
I live by one rule, which is embracing the MIX. I consider myself a mixologist—that includes mixing patterns, colors, and furnishings old and new.

What’s one design trend you’ve seen recently that you love?
Revitalization of older pieces. A wood framed chair passed down is potentially of higher quality than the quick fix sold online. The trend is encouraging on so many levels, including that it’s eco-friendly.

If you could bring one design trend back into vogue what would it be?
More is more. I love trims & tassels. I think they are still current in the right context.

What was your inspiration for becoming a designer?
My parents. We are a family business first and foremost. Surrounding myself with family helps me nourish that feeling for families in our community.

Tell us about a recent favorite project—what did you like best about it?
I recently did a vacation home just outside Palm Beach in Wellington horse country. I loved that my client loves color. Each room launches from a very saturated primary color.

What should potential clients know about before working with you?
The best part of working with me is that I don’t sell the total package all at once. I might have an idea of how I want the room to come out, but I prefer that we work one step at a time and layer. It opens the project up and pushes more limits than signing off on a master design plan all in one day.
