Drybar: Now Open in White Plains, NY!

Dry bar

While there are now 66 Drybar locations across the country, the first one in Westchester is now open at 1 North Broadway in White Plains, NY. Alli Webb, stylist and Drybar founder, offers her tips on the perfect tresses:

Rinse and repeat.
“Make sure you always start with super clean hair. I recommend using a cleansing shampoo that will remove dirt, residues and oils from your hair, like our Happy Hour Blowout Shampoo. Dirty hair does not blow out well, so two shampoos is a good idea. A good blowout should last for two to five days, depending on hair type and texture.”

Protect hair while you sleep.
“At night, sleep on a 100 percent silk pillowcase, like our Slumber Party Silk Pillowcase. This helps keep your style in place, plus prevents breakage, frizz and bedhead. Another nighttime trick is to sleep with a High Tops Self-Grip Roller set at your crown to keep your hair from falling flat or splitting while you sleep. Also, add a little dry shampoo at the roots to help with night sweating.”

Refresh in the morning.
“I highly recommend using a good shower cap, like our Morning After, to preserve your blowout when you shower! The terry cloth lining blocks humidity and keeps your style intact. Use Prep Rally to dampen the front of your hair and re-blow—this will make your whole blowout look new and refreshed. Use a ceramic round brush to smooth out the fringe and spray a little Detox Dry Shampoo to absorb any excess oil at the roots.”
