What’s next for summer 2020? “I am hoping for some pent up glamour,” says Sarah Easley (shown above, left with Susie Mendive). She is the founder and CEO of MaisonMarché, which hosts curated private shopping events in the area. Three pieces she’s particularly excited about: Karolina Zmarlak’s spring mini cape top, a joyful print Lobo Rosa kimono that can be worn as a dress, duster or cover-up, and a bright recycled-plastic tote bag with pom poms.
At a few recent soirées, MaisonMarché has brought in Social Studies, a company that provides rentable—and gorgeous—party set-ups. “Every time you have a fête, you can entirely change the theme without wasting or storing all the supplies. The kit just gets shipped along to the next celebration. The ultimate upcycle,” explains Easley.
As far as this coming season goes, Easley says, “Generally, we have been moving slower this spring in our daily routines. I hope going forward we will take more joy in the art of dressing, and be content to take extra time to really use and expand our wardrobes.
