There’s no better time to pack your bags and head out of town via the scenic routes in our area.  These five destinations offer something for everyone—whether you’re looking  for relaxation by the coast, reliving your days at sleep-away camp, or tackling mountain bike trails.  Plus, get a first look at the newest cars to rev up for the drive.

Windham, NY

What to Do: Tackle the Windham Mountain Bike Park, which boasts miles of rugged terrain and the longest jump trail on the East Coast. Renowned trail designers, Gravity Logic, helped create the paths and the mountain is geared toward riders of all levels. It’s also serviced by a high-speed quad lift, so you’ll never have to pedal uphill. Where to Stay: Stony Creek Farmstead in Walton, a working farm that’s been operated by the Marsiglio family for three generations. Guests can stay in rustic tents with wood burning stoves, bunk beds and canopied ceilings. What to Drive: The Lincoln MKZ has a spacious interior cabin that can fit family or friends, a fully retractable panoramic glass roof so you can take in views of the forests around you, and adaptive headlamps to help the driver see around those hidden bends on rustic back roads. Route to Take: Take the Taconic State Parkway for a drive past rolling meadows and lush trees, then head west on Route 82.
