Girls’ Night Out Supports Kids in Crisis

Serendipity’s Girls’ Night Out is a socially conscious evening that combines fashion, food and fun, all to support great causes. Held this year on April 21 at The Loading Dock in Stamford, CT, the event gave guests the opportunity to shop, mingle and honor the philanthropists who contribute to the community. An enthusiastic crowd cheered as these charitable models (and kids!) showed off fresh spring looks. The party continued with gourmet cuisine from caterer Abigail Kirsch, refreshing lemon cocktails from Keel Vodka and dance hits performed by the popular band Sweet & Meaty. In between, guests shopped for gorgeous clothing and jewelry, sampled expert beauty services and products and tasted fine wines. These individuals are heroes in the community for their efforts to help vital causes. Meet the men, women and children who made Girls’ Night Out a success.

Rich Granoff

Kids in Crisis (Cos Cob, CT)

His role: Community  outreach

Mission: The organization provides counseling, emergency shelter and educational programs to children in Connecticut who face a variety of problems, from economic difficulties to domestic violence to substance abuse. Kids in Crisis is free, accessible around-the-clock and has helped more than 132,000 children and families to date.

What drew you to this charity? “I believe that kids are society’s most important asset. I am very fortunate to have two healthy, happy kids (actually ‘men:’Jake is 22 and Noah is 19). It is unfortunate that there are so many local families (yes, in Greenwich) that cannot provide a happy home for their children, or even a safe environment for them to grow up in. Kids in Crisis addresses this need, providing support to families and kids.”
