Celebrity Chef Geoffrey Zakarian Hosts Art of Food Event

If your idea of the perfect New York evening includes savoring mouthwatering cuisine and perusing iconic works of art, then you won’t want to miss Our Town’s 2nd Art of Food Event, presented by New York-Presbyterian Hospital, on Saturday, February 4th at Sotheby’s New York. This celebration of artistic and culinary creativity brings together more than twenty renowned Upper East Side chefs. They will be serving up one-of-a-kind dishes inspired by artwork curated by Sotheby’s for this special evening. Hosting this unique event is the author of “My Perfect Pantry,” celebrity chef and Food Network star, Geoffrey Zakarian and his wife Margaret, president of Zakarian Hospitality and co-author of the book.

Participating restaurants include Upper East Side greats such as Atlantic Grill, Café D’Alsace, Candle 79, Freds at Barney’s New York, Magnolia Bakery, Sant Ambroeus Madison Avenue, T-Bar Steak, The Penrose, Vaucluse and many, many more. Acclaimed artists whose works will be featured include Jeff Koons, Ed Ruscha, Yayoi Kusama, Christo, Jonas Wood, Gerhard Richter, Wayne Thiebaud, Alexander Calder, Sol LeWitt, and Robert Rauschenberg. Live music will also be provided by Metro Strings.

Tickets are still available. VIP tickets ($185) include early admission beginning at 6:30 p.m. and unlimited access to the VIP lounge and bar.
