The reception for Clay Art Centerโs Pots for Pets on April 6 had an incredible turnout of over 100 ceramic and pet lovers to this unique exhibition (ongoing through June 1st). Celebrating pottery for the โfurry membersโ of our family, attendees viewed and purchased handmade dog and cat bowls, bird houses and homes for other cuddly creatures made by professional ceramic artists. They have partnered with Adopt-a-Dog, a Greenwich CT shelter, that saves unwanted and abandoned dogs, by giving 10% of each gallery purchase to the cause. Many artists were on hand to meet attendees along with the Executive Director of Adopt-a-Dog, Kristen Alousia, & George Latimer, Westchester County Executive.
โThis event was the big success it was because of our many enthusiastic volunteers, artists and supporters.โ Says Interim Executive Director, Cora Greenberg. โA big thank you to our media sponsor Serendipity Magazine and our sponsors Pet Pantry Warehouse, Spring Crafts at Lyndhurst and Tischman Pets Photographyโ. Believing strongly that the arts has the ability to touch and enrich lives; Clay Art Centerโs mission is to offer a stimulating space for studio practice, exhibition and educational opportunities to better serve the community.
