The 4th Annual Women Empowering Women Event Asks For Women to Help Each Other

The 4th annual Women Empowering Women event on February 25 at the Sheraton Stamford Hotel put the spotlight on powerful women with a variety of personal and professional experience. The event, sponsored by Serendipity, was intended to raise awareness and funds for the Center for Sexual Assault Crisis Counseling and Education in Stamford. “[As women], we are all in this together and we should help one another, whether growing as professionals, becoming better human beings, preventing sexual abuse, and ultimately being an up-standers,” said Ivonne Zucco, executive director of the Center. The panel discussion, “Stories That Inspire Change,” featured Margaret Keane, president and CEO of Synchrony Financial and Connecticut State Representative Caroline Simmons. Kate Bohner, chief marketing communications and research officer at DMS Offshore Investment Services, served as the moderator.
