“As a mother and entrepreneur, I understand the challenges that come with carving out time, resources and energy to build a business, and be a mom,” says Sara Alter, president of Moment Consulting. “But, I’m also a firm believer in the mental and emotional benefits that come from having work outside the home.” So in 2019 she launched Moment Consulting because she wants “mothers to feel empowered to pursue entrepreneurship if they have a business idea they feel passionately about,” she says. Alter offers a variety of coaching services—from 60-minute strategy sessions to more long-term packages around things like design and PR. “Just knowing that there is support available for moms interested in pursuing an entrepreneurial career path has sparked interest in my community,” she says, adding, “I love that Moment is getting women to think about their next professional steps in a new light.”
